The Swaen is a Dutch family business that has been around for more than a hundred years. We make quality malts, the main ingredient of beer and whiskey. It is also used in the food industry, but that sounds a little less exciting. We have customers all over the world, mainly craft brewers.
What will you do in this position?
- Ensuring the supply of malt (dried malt/green malt) into the roaster and setting the recipe (roasting/caramelising) according to the schedule/work order.
- Monitoring and adjusting the roasting process using the control panel, based on variables such as temperatures, feed rates, pressures, etc.
- Operating, adjusting, and regulating equipment and installations for receiving, storing, and transferring products/raw materials.
- Safeguarding the quality and food safety of intermediate and final products.
- Storing goods according to the schedule/work order.
- Recording production data.
- Storing and dispatching finished products.
Job requirements
- You are able to understand and execute technical process flows.
- You have a solution-oriented attitude.
- You are flexible, motivated and show initiative.
- You have completed a technical training as Process Operator B and a forklift certificate.
- Experience in the food industry is a plus.
