Are you a real driving force who thrives on managing people and actively participates in production? In the Production Team Leader Malting vacancy, you’ll be the right-hand man to our Head Malter and play a crucial role in the daily operations of our malting facility.
You will spend approximately 90% of your time on the work floor, where you and your team ensure the production of the best malt.
The Swaen is a Dutch family business that has been around for more than a hundred years. We make quality malts, the main ingredient of beer and whiskey. It is also used in the food industry, but that sounds a little less exciting. We have customers all over the world, mainly craft brewers.
What will you do?
Operational:
- Work with your team to ensure we produce top-quality malt every day.
- Maintain an overview in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment.
- Lead by example and motivate colleagues.
- Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Administrative:
- Creating daily and weekly schedules and adjusting production processes.
- Processing timesheets and other operational records.
Who are we looking for?
- MBO work and thinking level.
- An energetic, hands-on mentality.
- The ability to clearly explain work and motivate colleagues.
- Ambition to grow with our organization.
- Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Possession of a VCA (Safety, Health and Environment Checklist Contractor) and/or forklift certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
