Measuring is knowing! That’s why we’re looking for a laboratory analyst who knows more about samples than a hiphop DJ.
Of course, in our laboratory team you will mainly be concerned with measuring, analysing and research, that may come as no surprise. It is much more interesting for you to read who we are and what we do.
The Swaen is a Dutch family business that has been around for more than a hundred years. We make quality malts, the main ingredient of beer and whiskey. It is also used in the food industry, but that sounds a little less exciting. We have customers all over the world, mainly craft brewers.
Activities
- Drawing up and maintaining a sample supply schedule.
- Checking the samples supplied by production for correctness of label and product.
- Preparation of the samples and products to be examined using the available equipment, preparation of solutions.
- Entering and processing data in the system.
- Printing out work lists from the system, determining priorities regarding assigned work.
- Start-up and setup of equipment/tools.
- Carrying out regular physical and chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediate and end products in accordance with the applicable regulations and protocols.
- Carrying out control analyses regarding water purification.
- Carrying out measurements in accordance with regulations.
- Monitoring the analysis conditions, taking action if necessary (adjusting the analysis process).
Job requirements
- Being familiar with the ISO 22000, GMP and SKALL regulations and being able to enforce them.
- Knowledge of legal obligations in the field of occupational health and safety, safety and the environment.
- Completed relevant training at MBO3 or MBO4 level.
