Fixing malfunctions, carrying out repairs and of course (dis)assembly – machines have no secrets for you.
The Swaen is a Dutch family business that has been around for more than a hundred years. We make quality malts, the main ingredient of beer and whiskey. It is also used in the food industry, but that sounds a little less exciting. We have customers all over the world, mainly craft brewers.
Activities
- Locating malfunctions and determining causes by nature and extent.
- Carrying out (emergency) repairs in coordination with managers and informing production staff about causes of malfunctions.
- Dismantle (parts of) equipment and test and check it in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Carrying out periodic inspections and maintenance in the field of WTB and Electrical.
- Assisting a manager or external specialist in carrying out extensive repair.
- Assisting with starting up installations.
- Compliance with laws and procedures (occupational health and safety, (food) safety and the environment).
- Identifying and reporting unsafe situations.
- Assessing the state of maintenance, recording findings and anticipating them.
Job requirements
- MBO working and thinking level.
- You are accurate and have mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
- You have a lot of perseverance and are not easily discouraged.
- Managerial experience is an advantage but certainly not a must.
