14:00 – Guided tour Open Day – 9 May 2026 (in English)
During the Open Day, you can join a guided tour of our malthouse. A truly unique opportunity.
Led by our colleagues, you will walk through the malting process step by step. You’ll discover how barley is transformed into malt and which choices shape flavour, colour and character. From germination to drying and roasting, you will see, smell and feel why malt is such an essential ingredient in beer. Along the way, we share stories from 120 years of The Swaen. Tales of craftsmanship and innovation, of how the trade has changed and what has remained the same. You’ll gain insight into how we work today, using modern techniques while always respecting tradition and raw materials.
The tour is suitable for everyone who is mobile, from brewers and beer lovers to local residents curious about what happens behind our walls. No technical knowledge is required, and questions are always welcome.
